Week 24 2011

This week’s bit of fun:

This was written by a black gentleman in Texas and is so funny. What a great sense of humour and creative thinking!!!

When U Black, U Black

When I was born, I was BLACK,
When I grew up, I was BLACK,
When I went in the sun, I stayed BLACK,
When I got cold, I was BLACK,
When I was scared, I was BLACK,
When I was sick, I was BLACK,
And when I die, I'll still be BLACK.

NOW, You 'white' folks......

When you're born, you're PINK,
When you grow-up, you're WHITE,
When you go in the sun, you get RED,
When you're cold, you turn BLUE,
When you're scared, you're YELLOW,
When you get sick, you're GREEN
When you bruise, you turn PURPLE,
And when you die, you look GRAY.
So why y'all be callin' us COLOURED Folks?

A cannibal was walking through the jungle and came upon a restaurant operated by a fellow cannibal.

Feeling somewhat hungry, he sat down and looked over the menu....

Tourist: $5.00

Broiled Missionary: $10.00

Fried Explorer: $15.00

Baked Liberal or Grilled Conservative : $100.00
The cannibal called the waiter over and asked,

"Why such a high price for the Politicians?"

The cook replied, "Have you ever tried to clean one?
They're so full of shit, it takes all morning."

Monday: I took some Items of radio test gear to play with on our Monday night play session. Most new amateurs have not seen a Dip Oscillator, Absorption Wavemeter or an Antenna Noise bridge.

We played with the Dip oscillator and Absorption Wavemeter and found both seem to need recalibration. This is another job to fit into my already busy schedule.

We then moved on to the Antenna Noise Bridge and while it did give us a lot of noise when switched on, we could not get it to work with the ATU and antenna onsite. I must look at this again and try and get it to work correctly.

Thursday: I had a committee meeting with the guys from Sutton and Cheam Radio Society. As well as being a committee meeting it also good to catch up with some of the guys I haven’t seen for a while.

Saturday: I spent the day with some of the guys from the club on Epson Downs. This is a good place to go and play radio if the weather is good.
